Georg Weber, CEO of MKN Maschinenfabrik Kurt Neubauer GmbH & Co. KG, has been awarded the Dr. Georg Triebe Award 2025 in the “Person” category – one of the most distinguished honors in the commercial kitchen sector, presented only once every five years by the Association of Professional Kitchen Planners (VdF).
The award ceremony took place at the Porsche Experience Center Leipzig as part of the VdF’s 35th anniversary celebration. Georg Weber was honored for his outstanding achievements, entrepreneurial foresight, and lasting impact on the entire professional kitchen industry – acknowledged by long and heartfelt applause from industry peers.
The Dr. Georg Triebe Award recognizes individuals whose influence goes far beyond day-to-day business – visionaries, enablers, and true partners of the industry. The recipient is selected by an independent jury of experts from various disciplines; self-nominations are not permitted.
The laudation by Daniel Schade, President of the German Chefs’ Association (VKD) portrayed Georg Weber as a values-driven entrepreneur and strategic thinker with heart – someone who drives transformation without cutting roots.
