Google is continuing to expand, particularly in Southeast Asia, and consolidating its presence in countries such as Malaysia. Recently, Google created approx. 150 000 m² of new office space across 10 floors at the Menara Shell, KL Sentral, to house its entire team. We had the pleasure of equipping the staff facilities with MKN's professional state-of-the art kitchen technology. Google wants its staff to be happy at work and enjoy spending time there. This was the motivation behind the design and office furnishing in Kuala Lumpur. The focus is on flexibility, interaction and fun. You find innovative production workplaces situated between tranquil zones, entertainment options and a number of meeting rooms on all floors. There are also cafés adjoined to the work areas on two of the ten floors. Wood furniture, colourful chairs, comfortable carpets, bright rooms and walls filled with art dominate the offices – even the staff restaurant.
At the Google offices, stylish design meets efficient and sustainable professional cooking equipment made in Wolfenbüttel. Kitchen facilities are equipped with MKN Counter SL appliances including induction, deep fat fryer and griddle plate. Our multifunctional cooking appliance, FlexiChef 2.0, lets you cook, shallow fry, deep fry or cook at high speed all in one appliance. It also increases efficiency sustainably, 90 % less water consumption, 66 % less energy consumption and has an extremely fast cleaning system that uses no chemicals at all. The FlexiCombi Team appliances (6.1 and 10.1) are also in action, allowing you to use two cooking modes in one combi steamer at the same time. The units impress even further by features guaranteeing flexibility and fun in the kitchen. These include a fast increase in capacity thanks to FlexiRack, rapid cleaning with a single compact cartridge only or an operating system that is as easy to use as a smartphone.
