Personal data

Personal data is understood as details of the personal or material circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person (e.g. name, date of birth and contact details).

Websites

In principle, our website can be used without having to provide personal data. Nevertheless, certain website usage may require you to submit your personal data to us. Therefore, not providing your personal data may limit your use of our website. This affects, for example, registration for seminars or completing contact forms.

As soon as you visit our website, our web servers temporarily store a log file for every access. The following data may be collected and stored until automated deletion: IP address, date and time of access, amount of data transmitted, information on the success of website retrieval, identification data of the browser and operating system used, the website from which access was made and the IP address of your Internet access provider. This data is processed for the purpose of enabling the use of the website, system security, technical administration of the network infrastructure and the optimisation of the Internet provision (legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit.4 GDPR).

Other data collection

We collect, store and process your personal data (e.g. first name, surname, address, e-mail address, telephone number) if a business relationship, e.g. within the framework of an order or contract, exists or is to be established, as well as for the organisation and modification of a business relationship. Furthermore, we collect, store and process your personal data if you contact us via the contact form, blog function and e-mail, as far as this is necessary for the processing of your enquiries and correspondence.

The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected.

The data specified on the contact form will be retained by us until your request for its deletion or until receipt of your revocation. This does not affect the legal provisions, in particular the retention periods.

Data transfer

We use your personal data within Maschinenfabrik Kurt Neubauer GmbH & Co. KG. Our external suppliers who perform data processing on our behalf are contractually obligated as per Art. 28 GDPR to handle personal data in accordance with the applicable regulations. If these companies come into contact with your personal data, we have ensured that they comply with the provisions of data protection legislation through legal, technical and organisational measures and, if necessary, through regular inspections.

If you find links from other responsible entities or jointly responsible entities on our website (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Xing, LinkedIn) and click on the link, you use the pages directly from the respective responsible or jointly responsible entity, and these data protection regulations do not apply.

We reserve the right to transmit your personal data to authorised entities if we are legally obliged or instructed by court order to do so. As part of our business process, we may in some circumstances transfer your personal data to international trade partners who are responsible for the sale of our equipment in accordance with the MKN sales concept (legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR).

Website analysis

To optimise the content and provisions of our websites and to collect statistical evaluations, various technical programs are used which also anonymously record data on the behaviour of the user. For this purpose, data on aspects such as click behaviour, visit duration, system settings and the origin of the users is collected through the use of analysis software cookies in the form of text files. Cookies are stored on your computer for such analyses. This data can be stored on the servers of analysis tool operators. The collected data is not used for the personal identification of the user and is not combined with any other personal data pertaining to them.

You may refuse the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software. However, we wish to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use some features of this website. In the following section, we will present the analysis tools we use in detail.

The following analysis tools are used on our websites for this purpose:

Google Analytics

Insofar as you have given your consent in the cookie notice, Google Analytics will be used on our website. This is a webs analytics service provided by Google Inc.. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is your consent as per Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, which are saved on your computer to enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie on your use of the website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp”. As a result, IP addresses are truncated and they cannot be connected to a specific person. If a personal connection is created concerning data collected about you, this will be immediately excluded and your personal data deleted. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. The IP address provided by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website on our behalf, to create reports concerning website activity and to carry out other services related to the use of the website and the Internet for us.

The recipient of the collected data may be Google. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transmitted to the USA, Google has declared its compliance with the EU-US Privacy Shield: https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

The specified data will be automatically deleted after 14 months. The deletion of data whose retention period has expired is carried out once per month.

For more information on this web analysis tool, please see: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/partners/ and Google’s data privacy statement http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

Facebook-pixels

We use Facebook pixels on our website. This is a tool provided by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. For general information on Facebook pixels, please visit the following link: https://www.facebook.com/business/learn/facebook-ads-pixel. Cookies are installed through the use of Facebook pixels on our website.

The tool uses an implemented code to analyse the behaviour of visitors who come to our website via a Facebook ad. This process is used by Facebook to improve advertising and produce statistics and market research. The corresponding data is collected and stored by Facebook. However, this data is not accessible to us and can only be used within the context of advertising. Facebook can therefore read how successful a Facebook advert was. We only receive statistical data without any personal reference.

Through the use of Facebook pixels, your visit to our website will be forwarded to Facebook in order to supply you with appropriate advertisements both on and off Facebook.
