If people can't get to a hospital, then the hospital comes to them. This is the fundamental idea behind the international charity, Mercy Ships. The organization has been providing qualified and professional medical care to developing countries for more than 40 years. Hospital ships give access to free medical care and healthcare services to people in third-world countries who are not able to afford this. Mercy Ships operates the largest private hospital ship in the world, the Africa Mercy, with a constant crew of over 400 volunteers from up to around 40 nations. We are proud to support the work being carried out on the Africa Mercy with MKN appliances – six combi steamers, three tilting bratt pans and kettles respectively as well as two Paris deep fat fryers are all installed on board.
